Sturfee Projects

Augmented Reality projects working at Sturfee

Overview

Sturfee was a startup focused on creating their own outdoor city-based augmented reality technology. I would initially work on an AR geolocation game inspired by Pokémon GO's outdoor AR game mechanics. Fairly quickly though, the company would pivot to selling their technology to businesses. My work then focused on creating demos showcasing the company's AR capabilities as it advanced over the years. These would sometimes be general purpose demos that could be shown to anyone. Other times these demos would be targeted toward specific companies we were in talks with to help envision what they could do with it.

San Francisco Walking Tour Demo

The above demo given to journalists would largely encapsulate all the various AR features I would work to showcase in individual demos listed below through years prior.

Many additional more personalized and polished demos were created, most particularly in Japan in partnership with KDDI at places like Tokyo station to display the works of a 3D digital artist and at Tokyo Dome as a promotional event for the Yomiuri Giants
